What Easier Exchange is
Easier Exchange is for two people who hand a child or a pet back and forth. You agree on a handoff, both sign a plain-English agreement, and every drop-off gets confirmed by both sides. No lawyers, no group chat archaeology, and as little contact with each other as you want.
Who it's for
- Parents on a schedule. Every-other-weekend exchanges, summer weeks, holiday swaps, with a receipt for every drop-off and a record both parents can see.
- Pets between households. A dog shared after a breakup, a cat that trades weekends, or a pet going to a new home for good.
How it works
- Set it up. Who is being handed off, when, where, and who travels. Pick one-time, permanent, or a recurring schedule, or leave the day and place open for the other person to propose. Add photos and a note, then sign on the page.
- The other person reviews and signs. They get an email with a link they can open without an account. One click to sign up with Google, then sign, suggest a different day or place, or decline with a note. Every proposal and answer stays on the record.
- Confirm every handoff. When a handoff happens, each of you taps confirm. Once both have, you each get a receipt. Reminders the day before, the whole schedule in your calendar, and a record if something goes wrong.
The agreements
Three templates, filled in automatically from what you enter. Read them any time; nothing is binding until you sign a specific proposal.
Signatures are drawn or typed on the page and stamped with time, account, IP, and a tamper-evident hash. See the electronic signature terms. Easier Exchange is not a law firm and none of this is legal advice; if it matters, have counsel review it.
What you can count on
- Google sign-in only, so every signature is tied to a verified account.
- Both parties see the same record: the agreement PDF, every handoff, every confirmation, every note.
- Nothing is final until both have signed. Either side can decline; the creator can edit and resend.
- Your phone number is shared only after you both sign. Photos are visible only to the two of you and whoever holds the invitation link.
